Realistic Drawing

Join Deb Van Poolen at the Ashland Art Center.

REALISTIC DRAWING

Students are invited to receive the keys to realistic drawing in this exciting class! The idea of drawing what you see can be intimidating. Not to worry! In this class, instructor Deb spends as much time with each student as necessary. If a student is challenged to understand a certain technique, Deb will not stop explaining how that drawing technique works until each of her students understands and executes that technique.

Deb teaches step-by-step methods of drawing which utilize both right and left brain techniques and set all students up for success.  Participants first learn how to use a tool called the “viewfinder” which enables them to see the three-dimensional world in two-dimensions. Next, students learn a technique called “construction drawing” as they draw still-life objects set up in the classroom.  Deb has taught 100’s of people how to see and draw in perspective using these methods.  The class will meet from 4pm to 6pm, eight weeks straight..People of ages from 12 to 120 are welcome!
