I started this painting one afternoon while sitting in a gorgeous spring field of balsamroot and lupine flowers. I worked more on the painting in successive days; however, I did not finish the painting that season or that year. In fact, this painting was in my closet for two years before I rescued it! Three summers after I started the painting I finally finished it! I am very glad I completed this piece because it has become one of my most popular images; now thousands of people have this image in their homes as prints, cards and posters!
Original painting is watercolor and the giclée print is printed with archival quality inks on archival quality watercolor paper.
